Mari Simmulson

Mari Simmulson was born in Estonia and became known and admired for mainly her ceramics she made for Uppsala-Ekeby and DECO in Sweden. The beautiful and unique hand-printed textile patterns she made in the 50s with natural elements are rooted in a worship of nature from Estonia. The patterns were printed at the small printing house Sten Hultberg Handtryck in Dala Floda, Sweden.

Mari Simmulson's daughters Eva and Mari have said this about their mother "Mamma was a distinctive artist with many expressions, figurative, graphic and sensual".
